Camera mirrors, big screens with an HDMI port, slick styling. I’m impressed.

pity, with only 200km range it’ll never be offered in Aus.

If it had 400
km of range and was sold here in Canada I’d seriously consider it....it and the upcoming new FIAT 500e are the only two EVs I really like at this point and the 500E outdoes the Honda ‘E’ with 320km of range.

I can’t for the life of me understand why you would want camera side mirrors. You can’t move the image by moving your head

I’m still learning about full electric cars, but from what I understand the main issues from non-Tesla manufacturers is the lack of fast charging options to make the cars as practical as Tesla currently.
The fact Tesla’s network will guide you not only to the right charging station but adjust your time there to make the trip time convenient is a big deal.
Total range is great, but if it takes 2 hours to charge whereas a Tesla can do it in 45 minutes or even 20 mins (if it doesn’t need a full charge) to get to the next location, its a huge selling point.
This Honda seems to be focused on the city and daily commute person who will charge the car at home and at work, less likely to take a longer trip with it. This seems like a good compromise until they get their network up.

Without door mirrors... it'll never be sold in Oz. But then there were never any plans or even considerations that it would be - Honda Oz said nope immediately after the concept broke cover...and has never changed its mind.

Too bad it’s not for sale in the US. I do really like the styling, and the interior.

In this case I think it’s for a slimmer aerodynamic profile.
But you have a point. I suppose the trade-off is that you can do more with them - wide angle lenses and the like. But certainly a good ol’ piece of glass is extremely simple and super versatile as well

The reviews in Europe are all saying the same thing : The car looks nice inside and out but has by far the worst battery capacity of the similar sized vehicles (e208 and Zoe for example) while having a ridiculously small boot and being the most expensive.
So in a way it’s still a concept car.

I see, I see. That is a bit of a shame. I was hoping it was innovative and practical rather than innovative and compromised :(
It seems the electric world is rife with cases of “also rans”, who have got a car to market but done it poorly.

At least it’s eligible for grey import if someone was super keen , it’d look cute with some fender mirrors
